Asking in the Age of Zoom: How to ask for a major gift online Presented by: Diane Remin, Founder and President, MajorDonors.com
Tuesday, October 18, 2022 8:30am-9:45am Zoom Seminar
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, major gift work revolved around in-person donor visits. This approach created significant barriers for smaller nonprofits as well as wear-and-tear on traveling major gift officers. The pandemic brought both donors and development professionals to a new place, demonstrating that major gift work can, indeed, take place online. The expectation is that donor preference will prevail going forward—and that a number of donors will prefer to continue visiting online.
This technique-driven session will look at permanently adding video-conferencing to your major gift repertoire. You’ll walk away learning how to set-up the donor visit, have the donor conversation, and the two best ways to make the ask (which can be applied to any visit format).
