Proposed Ballot Initiative to Eliminate MCAS

Join us for a discussion with Elizabeth Mahoney, Vice President of Policy & Government Affairs with Massachusetts High Technology Council (MHTC).
There is a proposed ballot question to eliminate the MCAS exam as a graduation requirement.  Elizabeth will share her expertise on this and why it should be concerning to all business leaders.
Additionally, Elizabeth will speak about the High Tech Council's MassVision2050 initiative, which is a multi-year collaboration between private, public, and academic leaders to advance MA's economic leadership via three key workstreams (“Playbooks” for nine key innovation sectors; Workforce and talent strategies to address persistent skills gaps; and a sustained statewide strategy to rehabilitate and strengthen the state’s business climate).
Meeting will take place at the Nashoba Valley Chamber of Commerce, 2 Shaker Road, Shirley (Building B, Suite 200) at 8am on Tuesday September 12, 2023.
