Stepping in this weekend to fill the shoes of Ethan Iverson,* GRAMMY-winning cellist / singer-songwriter Mike Block returns to our stage on Saturday night!
A member of Yo-Yo Ma's Silk Road Ensemble and acclaimed by The New York Times for his "vital rich-hued solo playing," Mike is a pioneering cello player, singer, composer, and educator, hailed by Yo-Yo Ma as the "ideal musician of the 21st-Century."
Block's solo livestream performance will offer a rich mixture of music from Bach to bluegrass, and all new upbeat originals from his recent album release, The Edge of the Atmosphere. Watch him perform his beautiful "Going Home," above!
