When I was 13 years old, my father gave me a gift that I would not fully appreciate until years later – an article on saving and investing for retirement, specifically how a Roth IRA works. This was my first introduction to what Einstein called the 8th wonder of the world, compound interest. I became fascinated and knew then that my career would be in finance.
